Asymptotically nonlocal gravity

Asymptotically nonlocal field theories interpolate between Lee-Wick with multiple propagator poles, and ghost-free theories. Previous work on asymptotically scalar, Abelian, non-Abelian gauge has demonstrated the existence of an emergent regulator scale that is hierarchically smaller than lightest partner, in a limit where spectrum becomes dense decoupled. We generalize this construction to linearized gravity, demonstrate three examples: by studying resolution singularity (i) at origin classical solution for metric point particle, (ii) nonrelativistic gravitational potential computed via one-graviton exchange amplitude; (iii) we also show how derived regulates one-loop graviton contribution self energy real scalar field. comment briefly generalization our approach full, nonlinear theory gravity.
